Celebrating our History, Building our Future
Democratic socialist reunions in celebrations of the Archives Project and DSA Fund
Virtual celebration: Sunday, September 21st at 4pm ET / 1pm PT
Join us virtually to celebrate the completion of the Archives Project, and of DSA Fund’s work to help learn our history and build our future. This is a reunion event for comrades who were part of the early years of DSOC, NAM and DSA. We will have a showing of selected audio-visual recordings and images from the Archives – big events and key moments from the early days! – and remarks from Peg Strobel on the Archives Project and Gabe Tobias, the new executive director of DSA Fund.
Tamiment tour: Thursday, September 18th at 3pm ET
For those able to be in New York City, we will be organizing an in-person tour on September 18th of the DSA Archives at NYU’s Tamiment Library in Greenwich Village. Participants will get to see all of the materials, and spend some time in a classroom with a selection picked out by Tamiment librarians.
We’ll also be collecting video testimonials with the goal of creating short video about the origins of DSA, and lessons from our history that we need to build a democratic socialist future.
