How We Win

There are over 200 democratic socialists in elected office across the country.

Launched at a national conference in 2023, the How We Win network seeks to grow their power – sharing legislation and best practices, fostering co-governance with DSA activists, and highlighting the leadership of socialists in office. DSA Fund understands that this political moment demands the courage and clarity of democratic socialist leadership.



How We Win brings together elected officials who govern and organize as democratic socialists, their staff, and DSA chapters.

We believe our power is maximized by both a strong relationship between socialists in office and their local DSA chapters, and the ability of elected officials to use their offices to enact socialist policy and grow our broader movement. In addition to an annual conference, How We Win helps socialists in office share best practices and connect with labor, policy and grassroots partners through workshops and other convenings around the country.



This is the start of something magical. Socialists from around the country, coming together to build a better nation for all of us, not just a wealthy few.
